The Collins On Sixth commercial complex is a mixed-use building with a positive impact on Nassau's Centreville and Collins Avenue communities. The complex houses offices, retail space, a multi-storey car park, a rooftop garden restaurant and residential housing.
The building is connected to Collins Avenue by a shaded plaza that facilitates both pedestrian access and automobile drop-off. The plaza features landscaping and seating for visitors. The restaurant and rooftop garden are two of the building's most notable features, offering a unique dining experience and an oasis of greenery in an urban setting.
The residential floors above the 11-storey car park are an authentic example of modern urban living. The living spaces have floor-to-ceiling windows that provide abundant natural light and unobstructed views of the surrounding area. Large balconies surrounding the building on all sides extend the living space outwards, combining indoor and outdoor living. Whether residents are admiring the skyline above the city or enjoying a meal outdoors, the balconies offer a unique experience of the location.
The building's thoughtful design makes the residential spaces enjoy privacy and tranquility despite their location above a busy parking lot. The multi-storey parking structure is a compelling example of innovative design that combines functionality and aesthetics. The facades are intentionally reduced to their structural elements by leaving the beams and columns exposed. To soften the sharp appearance of the car park and reduce its thermal impact, a green wall is incorporated into the design.
